ISO 45001 Transition Course Overview

ISO 45001 Transition Course is designed to help organizations transition from the existing OHSAS 18001 Standard to the new ISO 45001 Standard. The course provides an understanding of the similarities and differences between the two standards and guidance on how to approach the transition process. The course also explains the necessary steps to complete a successful transition to the new Standard, while ensuring continued compliance with existing OHSAS 18001 requirements.
The course is divided into three modules:
• Module 1: Overview of ISO 45001
• Module 2: Transition Process
• Module 3: Implementation of ISO 45001
The course provides an understanding of the requirements and principles of ISO 45001 so that participants can identify how existing OHSAS requirements are met and how to create a transition plan that meets the new Standard. In addition, the course includes audio/video, quizzes and other interactive elements to reinforce concepts.
The ISO 45001 Transition Course is intended for OHSAS 18001 practitioners and those responsible for the transition of their organizations from OHSAS 18001 to ISO 45001. It is also suitable for internal auditors, occupational health and safety professionals, senior management and members of the Human Resources team.

This is a Rare Course and it can be take up to 3 weeks to arrange the training.

1. Previous knowledge of ISO 9001 or another existing management system.
2. Knowledge of the business context and operation.
3. Familiarity with occupational health and safety leadership.
4. Knowledge of applicable legal and other requirements.
5. Knowledge of hazard identification and assessment methods.
6. Understanding of relevant internal and external communication processes.
7. Experienced with new technology, tools and techniques used in OHSAS.

As such, the ISO 45001 Transition training is targeted to those individuals who are responsible for leading and managing health and safety risks within an organization
This includes members of the senior management team, health and safety managers, and supervisors or team leaders responsible for safety in the workplace
The training will aim to provide individuals with essential knowledge on how to transition the organization towards the ISO 45001 framework, demonstrating how to identify and understand the necessary processes, controls, and steps to enable successful implementation
Additionally, the training will also provide individuals with the technical knowledge of the ISO 45001 requirements, how to interpret them, and how to assess any current systems and processes to ensure alignment

Learning Objectives of ISO 45001 Transition

1. Understand the concept of risk-based thinking and its application within the framework of an occupational health and safety management system (OHSMS).
2. Learn the fundamentals of ISO 45001:2018 and its high-level structure.
3. Get introduced to key clause requirements for ISO 45001:2018, such as risk assessment, line of responsibility and control, internal audit and management review.
4. Acquire hands-on expertise to analyze existing systems, detect minor gaps and document solutions.
5. Be familiar with new terms, structures and levels of qualifications used within ISO 45001:2018.
6. Discover best practices and approaches in changing existing systems to meet the ISO 45001:2018 requirements.
7. Familiarize yourself with harmonized requirements between ISO 9001 and ISO 45001:2018.
8. Identify key requirements for training, social responsibility and external communications.
9. Understand the communication, formal assessment and registration process for ISO 45001:2018.
10. Master the concepts of transitioning existing systems to ISO 45001:2018.
