Course Prerequisites

Most candidates seeking certification in PMI Risk Management Professional (RMP) require core project management knowledge. For the PMI-RMP Exam Prep class, it is recommended that the student has:
• Project management education, training and experience
• A minimum of 5 years’ experience related to identifying, assessing, and controlling project risks
• Experience developing risk management plans, associated processes and tools
• Knowledge of the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK® Guide)
It is not required that students take the PMI-RMP Exam Prep Training course in order to sit the exam. However, having the necessary experience and qualifications will increase the probability of successful completion of the course.
